Why Handmade Beauty
MY INSPIRATION
Handcrafted Beauty was born from my quest to heal from the grief of losing my mom. I've been interested in studying natural healing for some time, when I came across an ad for an herbalist course. I learned about different herbs and their healing properties and how to extract those properties to use on skin and hair. This ignited a passion in me to create products that support your well-being with the possibility of healing and providing a more natural option for body care. My very first creation was turmeric soap. Making soap created a safe space for me to heal by using the talents I've been blessed with, that I was making almost daily. I had so much soap I started to give it away. From there, I got requests to purchase my soaps and products I hadn't thought to make, and out of those requests I formed Naturals by Evey LLC dba Handcrafted Beauty.

Favorite Hobbies
I love to find a good documentary to watch, doing word searches, coming up with new formulations for making products. I enjoy traveling to new places to experience the culture of the area. My all time favorite hobby is cooking. I enjoy watching people enjoy my food. Cooking is my love language.
Coffee Order
My favorite coffee is a Café de Olla (Mexican Coffee). It contains dark roast, with cinnamon, cacao and a dash of cayenne. If you can find it outside of Mexico, you should try it.
Weekend Outing
I enjoy most weekends staying home watching a documentary or creating. If I happen to leave the house, I enjoy trying restaurants I haven't been to, Also, I take my dogs on long walks.
Date Night
My favorite date night is cuddle time and playing board games, and of course watching my favorite tv shows.
Favorite Food
My all time favorite food is Thanksgiving food. There is nothing like taking a dinner roll packing it with ham and a little mac -n-cheese eating it with sauerkraut. My other favorite food is my birthday meal, which consist of fried chicken, cabbage and mac-n-cheese; and lets not forget my favorite cake - coconut.
Vacation Spot of Choice
I love Chicago but my all time favorite is Mexico. The beaches and the weather make it hard to return to the US.
Quote to Live By
Isaiah 55:1-2. "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy: Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the riches of fare." This passage reminds me that God is my strength and He will always provide. Another favorite quote: Through hard work and perseverance, you will succeed. I'm not sure who said that but I am a testament that it's true.
